Willie Lee See was born in Calvert, Texas, to J.D. See and Earnestine Shepherd See. He was the younger of two sons. At a young age, Willie experienced the loss of his mother and was lovingly raised by his paternal grandparents, who nurtured him with care and devotion.

His grandparents ensured he received an education and was brought up in the church. Willie joined Mount Pleasant Church at an early age and remained a faithful member throughout his life, always willing to serve in any capacity when called upon.

Willie attended Spigner High School in Calvert. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Houston, Texas, where he would reside until his passing. In Houston, he worked for many years at Southeast Memorial Hospital. Later, he became a skilled mechanic until his health began to decline.

Willie took great joy in returning to his hometown of Calvert to visit familiar landmarks and attend family reunions. These visits brought him peace and connection to his roots.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, his brother, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Willie leaves many family members and friends to cherish his precious memory.

The services for Mr. See will be held at 11:00 am in the Grimes Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, August 30, 2025.
